Asics Gel Foundation 9

The 2010s Asics Gel Foundation 9 come with some minor updates. To increased forefoot comfort, a bunion window and a deeper fitting toe box, together with a lower heel collar for a better heel support, the latest incarnation of the Foundation series should still be a choice for low to flat arches runners. AHAR+ : A thinner and lighter version of Asics High Abrasion Resistance rubber. It is placed on the impact area of the outsole to reduce excessive wear.

ComforDry Sockliner : Made from an anti-bacterial material that not only reduces odor and moisture but also provides additional cushioning.

DuoMax® Medial Post : Ensures that the shoe maintains proper support for the foot during the critical transition from heel strike to toe-off.

DuraSponge® : A new blown rubber compound for enhanced durability and cushioning in the forefoot.

Gel® : Provides maximum rearfoot and forefoot shock attenuation.

PHF™ : Personal Heel Fit System : Moulds and customises itself to the individual heel shape of the wearer.

Trusstic® System : Moulded component under the midfoot area. Provides over-pronation control in combination with extremely contoured midsoles. Reduces the weight of the shoe.

SpEVA™ : Is a full length midsole material and is Asics' mid-level midsole. Although SpEVA is not as durable and lightweight as Solyte, it has increased energy return compared to that of compression molded EVA.

SpEVA™ 65 Last : On top of the inner rear portion of the shoe, it has a medium density to deliver a moderately soft feel under the foot.
